Spend your free time in one of the largest and the most famous Slovak water reservoirs Liptovská Mara, visit the thermal spas and the mineral springs in Liptovský Ján, Lúčky Spa, and large aquaparks Tatralandia and Bešeňová.

There are many magnificent routes to choose from. or the skilled tourists, we recommend a 4-hour climb to the highest peak Ďumbier or Chopok, choose the nature trail through Demänovská Valley. For the less skilled ones, we recommend a walk to the landmark cemetery or Kosodrevina.

All cultural monuments and history lovers can find their spot here – there are plenty of opportunities in the vicinity of Liptov. We recommend visiting the Museum of the Liptov Village in Pribylina or the Vlkolínec Village registered in UNESCO. Do not miss the Likava Castle too.

If you are an art lover, we recommend visiting the Svätojánske Museum (St. John´s Museum), the Ethnographic Museum of Liptov, the Liptov Museum in Ružomberok and the Janko Kráľ Museum. The beautiful Ľudovít Fulla Gallery is worth visiting too.

Liptov and Demänovská Valley are full of beauties and places worth seeing. One of them is Demänovská Cave, a national natural monument and the second largest cave in Slovakia. Vážecká Cave is worth a visit too.

In Liptov, you can use more than 850 km of bike paths for mountain, road, or family cycling. For families, we recommend the easy 10-km cycling tour Pavčina Lehota. For the more skilled, we recommend a 38 km cycling route from Demänovská Valley to Jánska Valley.
